AFCAT 2 2021 Notification – Indian Air Force has recently invited applications for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT2 2021) for Flying Branch & Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical)/ NCC Special Entry for Courses Commencing in July 2022 Total : 334 Jobs. Candidates who’s age is not more than as specified in AFCAT jobs notification and having qualification of Graduation/ BE/ B.Tech/ PG Degree from the University/ Institute recognized by the Government of India are eligible to apply for the post.

About: Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)
Air Force Common Aptitude Test is conducts twice in year ie, in the months of June and December. Through AFCAT, candidates are recruited at various posts in Air Force. AFCAT is only one of the steps involved in the entire selection process for getting selected as an officer in the IAF. On clearing the AFCAT, shortlisted candidates will be called for Services Selection Board for Testing.

Candidates are advised to go through the official notification carefully before filling the AFCAT online Application Form. Eligible candidates (both Male & Female) may apply for online Air Force Common Admission Test.

(a) Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. OR (b) BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. OR (c) Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch. (aa) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}. Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University OR cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines:
(1) Communication Engineering. (2) Computer Engineering/Technology. (3) Computer Engineering & Application. (4) Computer Science and Engineering/Technology. (5) Electrical and Computer Engineering. Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches.
(ab) Education.
Passed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% in any discipline including integrated courses offering PG (Single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry) and with 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline.
NCC Special Entry (Flying) Minimum 50% marks in each in Maths & Physics at 10 + 2 level.
Graduate (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent. OR
BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent OR
Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Final Year/semester students are also eligible to apply, provided they do not have any present backlogs at the time of AFSB Testing and produce Degree certificate issued by the University as per the date stipulated in the advertisement.
NCC Air Wing Senior Division ’C’ certificate and validity of the certificate would be two years before the date of advertisement.
Meteorology Entry (Meteorology) Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Geography/ Computer Applications/ Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/ Oceanography/ Meteorology/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Ecology & Environment/ Geophysics/ Environmental Biology with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together (Provided Maths and Physics were studied at Graduation Level with a minimum of 55% marks in each).

Age Limit:

  • Flying Branch. 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2022 i.e. born between 02 July 1998 to 01 July 2002 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 year i.e. born between 02 July 1996 to 01 July 2002 (both dates inclusive).
  • Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches. 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2022 i.e. born between 02 July 1996 to 01 July 2002 (both dates inclusive)

Salary

Pay on Commissioning (As per 7th CPC).

Rank Pay as per Defence Matrix Level MSP
Flying Officer Rs. 56100 – 177500/- 10 Rs. 15500/-

Note: Flight Cadets shall receive a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100/- per month during one year of training.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates have to appear for Physical Standards/ Medical Standards/ Written Test and/or Interview.
